Sukuk*
Sukuk is an Islamic bond. It is similar to a conventional bond, except that it is asset-backed and represents a proportionate beneficial ownership in the underlying asset. The return on the sukuk derives from the yield generated by the client’s lease of the asset. NIB has a very competent sukuk management team in place looking after local and international sukuks covering various assets.
